Walker and Bus Rider Letter

WALKERS   

Normal arrival time is between 8:15 and 8:40.  Normal dismissal time is 3:40 p.m. for students in Pre-K-4 through 5th grade. If you DO NOT LIVE IN THE WALK ZONE you must be a car rider or bus rider, NO EXCEPTIONS THIS YEAR as we cannot have a crowd on the front porch.

  • Walkers will enter the building at the front lobby on Missouri Street.
  • Walkers must NOT ARRIVE at school BEFORE 8:15 a.m. as that is when the staff begins duty.
  • Walkers will be dismissed from the front lobby on Missouri Street. Only children who WALK completely off campus will be considered walkers. 

Students who walk to and from school should:

  • Cross the street ONLY at the proper corners.
  • Always allow the traffic guards to assist them.
  • Always use the sidewalk.
  • NEVER PASS THROUGH PARKING LOTS.
  • Go straight home and not return to the school grounds after dismissal.

Parents will be required to complete a walker form that will be sent home on the first day of school if you LIVE IN THE WALK ZONE and indicated to your child’s teacher that your child will be a walker.

 BUS RIDERS

Bus routes for the 2021-2022 school year will be sent in the Summer mailout.
