Mrs. Maria Dassau

Welcome to our Book Nook!  This is Mrs. Dassau's 12th year of teaching in St. Bernard Parish.  She attended University of New Orleans and graduated with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Elementary Education.  She also earned her add on degree in Library Science.  This is her 10th year of teaching Library at Lacoste Elementary.  

Mrs. Dassau loves all things Literacy with a special interest in Children's Picture Books.  She challenges her students daily to become avid readers.  She welcomes parent involvment because she believes they are a key component to students comprehension.  

Mrs. Dassau is married and has two children.  She loves spending family time traveling to Disney World and story time with her children.
