Mrs. Maria Dassau

Welcome to our Book Nook!  This is Mrs. Dassau's  year of teaching in St. Bernard Parish.  She attended the University of New Orleans and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education.  She also earned her add-on degree in Library Science.  This is her 10th year of teaching Library at Lacoste Elementary.  

Mrs. Dassau loves all things Literacy with a special interest in Children's Picture Books.  She challenges her students daily to become avid readers.  She welcomes parent involvement because she believes they are a key component to students' comprehension.  

Mrs. Dassau is married and has two children.  She loves spending family time traveling to Disney World and having story time with her children.
